However, the 49ers found their footing in the second quarter, with quarterback Hurts connecting with Hollins for a 19-yard touchdown pass, putting them ahead 7-6. The fourth quarter saw Wilson score his second touchdown of the game, this time on a 2-yard run, giving the 49ers a 27-19 advantage. Los Angeles (A) managed to score a late field goal, but it wasn't enough to overcome San Francisco's lead, with the game ending 27-22 in favor of the 49ers.

The game featured several notable performances. San Francisco's Hollins was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the game, contributing significantly with five receptions for 138 yards, including a 77-yard touchdown catch. The 49ers' home-field advantage (HFA) played a role, as they capitalized on their three-point advantage from the start.

Statistically, San Francisco recorded 12 first downs compared to Los Angeles (A)'s 23. The 49ers' rushing attack led by Wilson and Hurts was particularly effective, gaining a total of 129 yards on 26 carries. Los Angeles (A) struggled to establish a ground game, mustering only 49 yards on 21 rushing attempts.

In the passing game, San Francisco's Hurts completed 16 of his 22 attempts for 227 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Los Angeles (A)'s Herbert had a busier day, completing 35 of his 60 attempts for 304 yards and no interceptions. However, his efforts fell short in securing the victory for his team.

Defensively, both teams showed strength. San Francisco's Williams and Harris stood out with 10 and 9 tackles, respectively. They also forced turnovers, with Slay recovering a fumble and Harris intercepting a pass. Los Angeles (A) was led by Jenkins with 8 tackles and Diggs with an interception.

The game saw some missed opportunities and mistakes from both sides, including missed field goals and fumbles. However, the San Francisco 49ers managed to capitalize on their chances and come out on top.
